The Thornbury Rotary Swimarathon is the big fundraising event of the year.
49 teams took part in this year’s Swimarathon at the Thornbury Leisure Centre. The Panache steel band played their wonderful music for the whole event creating a great atmosphere in the Pool area.
295 swimmers swam a total of 5176 lengths, equating to nearly 130 km or 81 miles, almost 4 times across the English Channel!

The event raised an incredible £15,000. Thornbury Rotary is grateful to all who participated and everyone who supported them. We would also like to thank our business sponsors including main sponsors Perennial Wealth, Renishaw and The League of Friends.
The principal Charities supported this year were St Peters Hospice and Butterfly Space.
